About FutureAir

FutureAir makes design-forward sensing technology
for healthier buildings and a cleaner planet.

Indoor air pollution is an invisible problem.
We spend over 90% of our time indoors where air
is often worse than outside.

FutureAir’s Product
SAM™ – a Smart Air Manager that captures, analyzes, and improves
indoor air quality with real-time data that can activate air systems
to improve health outcomes and energy efficiency.

With embedded sensors, data analytics, machine learning and API’s,
SAM™ can activate connected devices (air purifiers, air conditioners, humidifiers) and HVAC systems to improve indoor air.

SAM™ measures pollutants often found indoors:
Carbon Dioxide (CO2 ppm) – human breath
Particulate Matter (PM 1 to 2.5 to 10ug/m3) – dust/particles
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs ppb) – gasses

FutureAir is solving an invisible problem that can make us sick - pollutants in air we breathe indoors.

Design Philosophy

As co-founder of FutureAir, the inspiration for the design of SAM™ has remained within the realm of nature’s logic and purpose which has been at the very core of my work since I began. It’s interesting to see how such subtle complexity can relate so intuitively to all manner of interior spaces and architecture without being so minimalist it disappears.

How to harness and capture the spirit of a product that is so important in expressing its function whilst also embodying the beauty we find in intelligent natural forms?

The challenge was to define a new and modest aesthetic that has a ‘thereness’ and quietude like air itself whilst respecting the need to imbue all new contemporary products we design within our time with an ecologic respect so that we live and create by example.
